Our courses place as much importance on the standard of accommodation as the photography. We want your experience to be nothing but the best. The standard of accommodation and tuition is reflected in the price, yet our courses still come in less expensive than a number of others.

When in the Lake District, accommodation will usually be taken at one of three hotels.

The Bridge Hotel at Buttermere, The Mary Mount, Borrowdale, Keswick or The Royal Hotel, Dockray, Matterdale nr. Penrith.

The Mary Mount is also the base for the half day and full day courses, offering friendly hospitality as we use the grounds, the nearby woods, waterfall and lake side to develop photographic skills and techniques.

We also have use of indoor facilities to upload work and depending on which course you take, have an introduction to Photoshop and print a favourite image.

The Royal Hotel is to be found close to Aira Force, Ullswater and within easy distance of Keswick.

The Bridge at Buttermere offers the ultimate 'get away from it all package'. Close to the lake, there is potential for stunning dawn shots across the lake and with a short, low level walk, great waterfalls to capture at close range.

When in the Eden Valley, we will stay at Marton House, Long Marton. A fine place to stay in 6 acres of stunning gardens.

Accommodation in Northumberland will usually be in The Mizen Hotel, Bamburgh. Details will follow on receipt of your enquiry as bookings depend on availability.

There is no room sharing unless by request, no 'ice-breakers' and nothing but a relaxed pace and support regarding development of your skills, understanding and approach.

Residential courses require a £100 deposit to secure rooms and receipt of this amount is appreciated within one week of the initial booking arrangements, with the balance to pay three weeks before the course begins. If you are booking for a course less than two weeks away, please send the full amount as soon as possible. Thank you.

For an extra special few days at a luxury hotel, please enquire about our 'Inn On The Lake' Photography Courses.

On weekend or four day courses, all meals are provided and transport from the hotel to photography locations. Lunch is also included on one day courses [known as 'full day'] and just a midway coffee or tea on the half day courses.

Please email with any questions that you may have.
